Samsung Launches Technical Talent Development Program to Help Vietnamese Youth Master Advanced Technologies

Samsung Vietnam Complex officially launched the 2024-25 Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) program on Friday. This technical talent development initiative aims to help Vietnamese youth master advanced technical skills in preparation for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

During the launch ceremony, Samsung Vietnam signed memorandums of understanding with JA Vietnam and Letuin Vietnam to jointly implement the 2024-25 Samsung Innovation Campus program in Vietnam. Students who complete the course will receive Samsung Innovation Campus certification and have opportunities to participate in innovation technology challenges and other project activities.

According to reports, the SIC 2024-25 program is expected to provide learning and technical skill development opportunities for approximately 6,600 Vietnamese students. Choi Joo-ho, President of Samsung Vietnam Complex, stated at the event that in this highly technologically advanced era, youth as future leaders must master cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence. He emphasized that cultivating IT talent and creating a foundation for the younger generation to master advanced technologies is an urgent priority.

Samsung Innovation Campus not only provides young people with opportunities to learn new technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, big data, and programming but also provides them with a solid foundation to meet future challenges. Choi Joo-ho expressed hope that the project would receive more attention and support to cultivate more IT talent and provide important momentum for future social development.

As one of Samsung’s core corporate social responsibility projects, Samsung Innovation Campus is a global ICT education program dedicated to empowering youth, officially launched globally in 2019. The program has now expanded to 36 countries, including the United States, Germany, Spain, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Since the project’s launch in 2019, over 12,000 students from 95 schools across 21 provinces in Vietnam have received training through Samsung Innovation Campus, learning advanced technologies.

Adhering to the vision of “Together for Tomorrow, Empowering People,” Samsung continues to enhance Vietnam’s human resource quality through various initiatives, including: organizing the “Solve for Tomorrow” competition, establishing STEM education playgrounds S.hub Kids in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, providing computer laboratories and educational support to universities, helping students acquire cutting-edge IT knowledge, and offering Samsung talent scholarship programs, including internship opportunities at Samsung Vietnam R&D Center.
