According to Dr. Le Hoang The, a Vietnamese living in Japan and the manager of VOS Ecosystem Co., Ltd., traceability was crucial alongside product quality. He stated, “When Vietnamese products enter the U.S. market, they must first be certified, patented, and undergo necessary tests. This is equivalent to the product’s ‘identity card,’ allowing foreign consumers to verify and confidently use the product.” Furthermore, functional foods must be organic, lab-tested, and meet U.S. standards. Registered trademarks are also essential to ensure that the product cannot be counterfeited. These criteria have provided the foundation for Vietnamese Lingzhi to firmly establish itself in the U.S. market.

Traceability as a Key Factor for Instant Fruit Coffee in Foreign Markets

Nguyen Ngoc Luan, CEO of Global Trading Bridge Co., Ltd., also emphasized the importance of traceability for export goods. By strictly adhering to the origin transparency requirements of importing countries, his company’s products have gained a stable foothold in international markets. “The first thing for us is to follow the ISO process, with complete documentation and data for every batch of goods. This data is then encoded using QR codes or technical information on the portal. It is crucial to have an internal control department and invest in building a quality management system,” Luan explained.

Many Vietnamese companies have recognized the need for traceability in exports and have invested substantial resources to optimize their systems. For example, Green Nishimiya Co. has made notable achievements in this area. The company’s external affairs director, Du Tu, mentioned that they have built a dedicated team to use all available applications on the market for traceability. The team ensures compliance with standards set by suppliers, manufacturers, and import partners. Moreover, the company continuously enhances its data recording and inspection systems to ensure accuracy and transparency throughout the supply chain.

As countries’ regulatory systems expand and rules become stricter, Vietnamese companies aiming to sell their products internationally must meet the associated requirements. Leong Minh Huan, director of the Institute for Business Development, stated, “Traceability is a way for companies to demonstrate their commitment to product quality and origin transparency. It proves that products and goods comply with international standards related to quality, safety, and the environment. This builds trust among business partners and consumers, fosters trade relationships, and creates a competitive edge in international markets.”
