Đồng Nai Province Issues Investment Certificates to 17 Projects with Total Registered Capital of $6 Billion

The People’s Committee of Đồng Nai Province, an industrial hub in southern Vietnam, held an important meeting on Tuesday to announce the province’s overall investment attraction plan and issued investment certificates to 17 projects. These projects have a total registered capital of $6 billion, covering various sectors including industrial and urban infrastructure development, real estate, and semiconductor development.

Among the 17 projects receiving investment certificates, there are 5 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects and 12 domestic projects. This initiative demonstrates Đồng Nai Province’s enormous potential and determination in attracting both domestic and foreign investment.

Two major project plans were also announced at the meeting. One is the construction plan for Hiệp Hòa urban area, which will cover 293 hectares in Biên Hòa City with a total investment of over 72 trillion VND (approximately $2.9 billion). The other significant project is the Bàu Cạn–Tân Hiệp Industrial Park, to be built in Long Thành District, covering 1,000 hectares with an investment of 9.25 trillion VND. The launch of these two large-scale projects will inject strong momentum into Đồng Nai Province’s economic development.

Since the beginning of this year, Đồng Nai Province has achieved remarkable success in attracting foreign direct investment. Data shows that the province has attracted $1.1 billion in FDI, a 34% increase year-on-year. Specifically, 61 new projects received investment certificates with a total registered capital of $640 million, while 74 existing projects adjusted their capital with a total amount of $448 million. These figures fully reflect foreign investors’ confidence in Đồng Nai Province’s economic development prospects.

The economic vitality of Đồng Nai Province is also reflected in the thriving development of local enterprises. Currently, over 55,900 enterprises are registered locally, with a total registered capital exceeding 522 trillion VND. This figure not only reflects the vibrancy of the local economy but also demonstrates the province’s attractiveness to businesses.

As an important industrial center in Vietnam, Đồng Nai Province has 33 industrial parks with a total area of over 10,500 hectares. Among them, 32 industrial parks are already in operation, attracting nearly 2,100 enterprises. These industrial parks provide crucial infrastructure support for the province’s economic development.

In terms of foreign direct investment, Đồng Nai Province currently has nearly 1,600 effective FDI projects with a total investment capital exceeding $34 billion. China, South Korea, and Japan are the largest foreign investors in the province, reflecting Đồng Nai Province’s important position in the international investment market.
