VinFast announced that as of October 2024, it has delivered over 11,000 electric vehicles (EVs) to customers, bringing the cumulative delivery count to over 51,000 vehicles. VinFast’s delivery of more than 51,000 EVs in the Vietnamese market has made it the top-selling car brand in the first ten months of 2024.
In October, VinFast continued to demonstrate strong delivery numbers, exceeding 11,000 units—a 21% increase compared to the previous month.
The best-selling model was the VF 3, with nearly 5,000 units sold, followed by the VF 5 with over 2,600 units.
VinFast’s status as the top-selling car brand marks a milestone and turning point in the Vietnamese automotive industry.
Since entering the market five years ago, VinFast has solidified its market position, surpassing numerous foreign brands to become the brand with the largest market share.
Notably, VinFast is the first EV brand to surpass traditional fuel-based car manufacturers, achieving market leadership within just two years of transitioning to EV production.
VinFast’s impressive growth showcases the strength and resilience of Vietnam’s high-tech manufacturing industry and reflects consumers’ enthusiasm for environmentally-friendly, smart electric vehicles.
Vietnam has now joined the ranks of a select few countries where EV brands lead over gasoline-powered vehicles in the market.
Phạm Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup and CEO of VinFast Global, commented, “This extraordinary achievement is thanks to the support of thousands of VinFast customers, who courageously embraced this young Vietnamese brand from the start and have continuously provided feedback on VinFast’s products and services.”
VinFast currently offers seven EV models in the Vietnamese market, ranging from mini SUVs to large electric SUVs, covering all segments.
